Our Slogan is ‘Help the Aged Help Themselves’

Calcutta Metropolitan Institute of Gerontology (CMIG) was founded in 1988 with a view to rendering all possible help and relief to the aged and at the same time to instill in them a sense of confidence in their capability and worthiness as active citizens. In the process of achieving this end CMIG has started a wide range of programs. The organisation has three major wings  :

  1. Research & Publication     
  2. Training
  3. Service

CMIG promotes research in the multidisciplinary field of Gerontology, imparts various types of training to the care givers as well as senior citizens and renders services to the downtrodden elderly.
