Day Care Centre : -

CMIG runs 2 day care centers for the poorest of the poor aged. 50 beneficiaries, who are deprived of the basic needs of life, attend each center regularly. CMIG provides them all kinds of support – nutritious food, free treatment and medicine. It imparts vocational training to these less well off aged. They produce various types of handicrafts and sell it in the market to earn a bit. CMIG conducts outside trips to places of interest and arranges religious programs for them, which includes lectures on religious discourses and hymns. Two trained social workers remain in constant touch with them. Through interaction with the social workers they find a path of releasing their sorrows.

Special occasions like World Elders Day, Saraswati Puja are observed where all beneficiaries participate.

Mobile Medicare Service : -

CMIG runs mobile units to provide health service to the poor elderly who have little or no access to treatment. More than 400 beneficiaries cover under this program. Every Saturday institute’s medical van reaches slum areas with Doctor, Nurse, Organizer and Social Workers. They provide free basic medical treatment, nutritional food and counselling to older people. Aged and experienced doctors are generally recruited for the purpose. CMIG also provides medication to treat the common ailments. Sometimes house visits are also done for the homebound patients.

Geriatric Care Centre : -

This unit is dedicated to the treatment of our parental generation suffering from diseases like Arthritis, Stroke, Parkinson’s disease and other morbidity disorders. In near future Dementia and other Psychological problems will be cared for in this unit.

We have a team of renowned physicians, nurse, physiotherapists, social workers and consultant geriatrician.

Feeding Program : -

One of the objectives of the CMIG is to feed the hungry. 159 poverty-stricken aged persons are enlisted under this program. CMIG receives the food grains once in three months under Humanitarian Assistance (HA) Program of Seva Kendra Calcutta through Catholic Relief Society and distribute the food commodities once in a month.
